Target is investing more than $220 million to remodel 28 stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, the company’s largest remodel investment in a single market in 2017. All the remodeled stores will receive top-to-bottom overhauls, including a mix of design and functionality, taking a customized approach to each store location. Eight stores are celebrating completed remodels on Saturday, June 17, with four previously completed and 16 remaining stores to be completed later this summer and fall. In addition to Target’s stores having an updated look, they will function differently enabling a digitally connected experience with an updated Order Pickup counter and Ship from Store service, which allows Target.com orders to be fulfilled from local stores and get to guests faster. Later this fall, Target will combine Cartwheel – the company’s popular savings app – with Target’s flagship app, offering guests one, easy-to-use digital solution.
Target opened its first store in Dallas in August 1969, and now has 47 stores and 6,700 team members across the Dallas- Fort Worth area. Target is heavily invested in the community, providing $7.8 million in cash and product donations in 2016 and participating in 26,300 volunteer hours with local organizations.
Eight local Target stores are celebrating remodel completions in June with grand re-opening events for guests and the community.
