In celebration of the upcoming race weekend in Fort Worth, Texas, Smithfield donated 25,000 pounds of protein to the Tarrant Area Food Bank as part of the company’s nationwide Helping Hungry Homes tour. This considerable donation, in partnership with Market Street and Richard Petty Motorsports, will provide more than 100,000 servings to North Texas families.
“The King” Richard Petty and Richard Petty Motorsports’ No. 43 driver Aric Almirola, who have partnered with Smithfield’s Helping Hungry Homes program to donate thousands of pounds of protein over recent years were on hand to discuss the importance of these donations from Smithfield, and raised awareness about the necessity of providing assistance to our neighbors in need. Smithfield is the primary sponsor of the Richard Petty Motorsports No. 43 race team.
