Royals Hall of Famer Mike Sweeney joined Farmland today to present a check for $25,000 to No Kid Hungry to help to fight childhood hunger this holiday season. For every Farmland product sold now through Dec. 31, Farmland will make a $0.25 donation to No Kid Hungry, up to $100,000. Sweeney was on-site today, Nov. 30th, at a local Price Chopper to meet with fans and encourage Kansas Citians to purchase Farmland products to support the cause. Every $1 donated to No Kid Hungry can provide a child 10 healthy meals. With the help of Farmland and its customers, No Kid Hungry can connect 1 million meals to children facing hunger in America.
